Salvation
Why do people suffer? Jesus Christ, suffered all things. When you turn to Him you can be assured that He
understands and can help us through our trials with His love and direction.
Trials and adversity are a part of this life. But when us understand that God has a purpose and plan for us, and that our Savior, Jesus Christ, can give us
comfort and peace, even in the most difficult times, those trials take on a different light. There is no simple answer, but when we have faith in God and His
plan, we can be assured that there is purpose in all that happens to us here on this earth.
++ (D&C 122:7) And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou
be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements
combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall
give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.
