Pre-earth life--we lived before being born

(Revelations 12:7-9)
9 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his

Before we were born, our spirits lived with God. This premortal life is sometimes referred to as the preexistence. In this setting, we had the opportunity to
grow, mature, and learn many eternal truths from our Heavenly Father. Yet we yearned to be more like Him.
Like any loving parent, God wants His children to progress. Heavenly Father understood that we could only progress to a certain point without the experience of
mortality. |
